Hi there Rockey and Karen

Thanks for your comments, once bitten twice shy
I suppose.

The product has been getting progressively slower over the years, it will have taken a big turnaround for it to have gotten better.

Rockey, do you have a link to the results of those tests? I would be glad to do a follow up with some data.

Cheers

I just replace my McAfee with Norton Internet Security 2009. It is the fastest software I have every had protecting any of my computers. It also takes less memory. I love it.

Symantec listened to its customers and came out with Norton 2009 which use a heristic mapping to capture viruses. This puts the smallest footprint on the user's machine, and has been certified as the fastest product on the market. Give it a try and let all of know what you think!
